Mount Monadnock
Mount Monadnock rises 3,165 feet above sea level and 2,000 feet above the landscape around it. It’s among the most hiked mountains in the world and from the rocky summit you can see 100 miles, and all six new England states. The mountain features a number of hiking trails of various difficulties and distances. In addition to hiking the mountain, Monadnock State Park offers biking, winter sports, swimming, and more!

Crotched Mountain
The Monadnock Region is a hub for winter sports and fun. Visit Crotched Mountain for a 1000-foot vertical drop with day and night skiing. The mountain features nearly 100 trails and 10 lifts – all within 30 minutes of Peterborough.

Monadnock Country Club in Peterborough offers 9 and 18 holes of golf, lessons, and leagues. McDowell Lake, also located conveniently in Peterborough, has two picnic venues available for reservation, kayaking/canoeing, fishing, hiking, boating, and a Junior Ranger Program for kids.
Miller State Park
Miller State Park is located on the 2,290-foot summit and flank of Pack Monadnock in Peterborough and is the oldest state park in New Hampshire. Three main hiking trails ascend Pack Monadnock to the summit. The best known is the Wapack Trail, which is a 21-mile footpath that extends from Mt. Watatic in Ashburnham, Massachusetts to North Pack Monadnock in Greenfield. The Park offers hiking, biking, camping, skiing, and more!
